2 — What should I do in case of an accident?

First dial Toll free number of Mapfree Tepeyac before returning to the USA and report accident so a claim adjuster can be assigned to the accident to continue processing case.

3 — Can the Mexican Authority take vehicle away?

In case of an accident where there are injuries the authority takes the vehicle away and stores it to limit liability, the adjuster would then take the vehicle out with the correct fines and procedures at no charge, if the option of legal assistance was selected.

4 — In case of accident with bodily injuries, where would I go?

After the accident is reported, the adjuster will supervise the transferring and stabilizing of the injured to the hospital under the assigned medical supervision designated under the Mexican Network.

5 — What is needed to cross the border?

To cross Mexico, all that's needed is a current driver license and ID. If you are traveling more than the 20 KM inside the border you would need a temporary permit stipulated for Mexican immigrations rules.
